Wedgefield Plantation, nestled beneath majestic three-hundred-year-old oak trees, has its roots deep in the
history of the Georgetown community. The plantation has been in existence since before 1762 and has passed through the hands of many owners over the years.
In 1935, Robert Goelet purchased Wedgefield Plantation and erected the present-day Georgian Regency Manor House. A showcase of its day, the Manor House exudes beauty and splendor surrounded by a breathtaking landscape.
Step inside the Manor House, and experience its rich architectural design with the original drawing room to the right and gun room to the left. From the foyer, proceed down the steps into the spacious ballroom where we can make your dreams a reality. Wedgefield Events - Property Details
Venue Rental includes: Historic Manor House and Grounds, Ballroom, Bar, side and back Courtyards, side and back Patios, and Restrooms.
Ballroom Capacity: Maximum ballroom capacity is 100 guests. The wedding ceremony is held in the side courtyard, reception in the ballroom with use of the back patio.
Outside Capacity: Maximum outdoor capacity is 300 guests. Ceremony is held in the side courtyard, the reception on the back patio and grounds with use of the ballroom.
Manor House Site Manager: The event management stays with the event throughout the night for questions or if an issue arises. He or she will also illuminate the house upon sunset and help supervise the management of trash and the proper “breakdown” procedures at the close of your party.
